Ingredients

Onions & garlic Jalapeno pepper Cumin & chili powder Chicken broth Chicken breast Diced tomatoes Corn Black beans Corn tortilla chips

Step 1: Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a soup pot and sauté the onion until translucent and fragrant.

Step 2: Add the jalapeño and garlic and saute for another 1-2 minutes.

Step 3: Add cumin and chili powder.

Step 4: Stir into veggies and cook for 30 seconds  or until fragrant.

Step 5: Pour in the  chicken broth.

Step 6: Bring to a boil.

Step 7: Add the raw chicken breasts.

Step 8: Continue cooking for about 15 -20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Step 9: Remove the chicken from the soup pot and use 2 forks to shred.

Step 10: Pour in the diced tomatoes, black beans, and corn into the soup pot

Step 11: Stir the chicken back in with the other ingredients in the soup pot. Cook until hot.

Ladle into bowls and serve with fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and crushed tortillas.
