Italian Stuffed Peppers filled with lean ground turkey, Italian Poultry sausage, brown rice, and flavored with everything you love about Italian cooking! They can be prepped ahead of time for easy meals during the week.

Ingredients

Bell Peppers Italian Poultry Sausage Ground Turkey Worcestershire sauce Seasonings Marinara Sauce Grated Romano Cheese Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Cooked Brown Rice

Step 1: Start by cooking the Italian poultry sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. As the sausage cooks, break it into smaller bite-sized pieces.

Step 2: After the sausage cooks, remove and place into a large bowl.

Step 3: In the same skillet, cook the ground turkey and break it down into small bite-sized pieces. Add the seasonings and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 4: Continue cooking until the ground turkey is no longer pink.

Step 5: Add to the sausage the cooked ground turkey, marinara sauce, rice, and cheese.

Step 6: Stir the ingredients together until everything is combined.

Step 7: Spread 1/2 cup or so of sauce on the bottom of a 9 x 13 ceramic baking dish.

Step 8: Fill the peppers with the filling, arrange in the baking dish, and sprinkle with the rest of the shredded mozzarella.

Step 8: Cover with foil and bake in a 400 degree oven for 50 minutes or until the peppers are tender.

Step 9: Remove the foil and serve hot. These are delicious on their own and also great with a salad or veggie.
