Sausage Chili

Sausage Chili made in the crockpot with lean Italian poultry sausage, ground turkey, classic chili seasonings, poblano, and jalapeno peppers is about to take comfort food to new levels.

Ingredients

Italian Poultry Sausage Ground Turkey Onions, Garlic, and Peppers Chili seasoning Chicken Stock Worcestershire sauce. Black and Pinto Beans Diced tomatoes Tomato Sauce

Step 1: Start by cooking the meat. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the raw ground turkey and Poultry Italian sausage to the skillet.

Step 2: Cook until no longer pink and then put the meat into the slow cooker insert.

Step 3: Using the same skillet, cook the onions, peppers, and garlic.

Step 4: Stir in the chili seasoning and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5: Add the chicken stock and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any bits that are on the bottom off the pan.

Step 6: Add to the slow cooker with the beans and diced tomatoes

Step 7: Stir the ingredients together.

Step 8: Pour in the tomato sauce and give another stir.

Step 8: Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or on low for 8-10 hours.

Step 9: Serve hot with shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado and other favorite chili toppings.
